T-38-34 (cvičné vozidlo)

In 1944, reconstructions of captured Soviet amphibious tanks took place T-38to training vehicles to be used for the training of infantry and anti-tank units. The tower was removed from the original tanks and an approximate model of the Soviet medium tank was created on the hull from wood and sheet metal T -34(body and tower). From the Finnish army's reserves were allocated for the reconstruction of 15 machines, some sources claim that for the reconstruction of T-38-34 11 pieces were used and the rest (4 pieces) for reconstruction simulating a Soviet heavy tank KV-1T-38-KV). The machine did not carry any weapons. The vehicles served in this form until 1961, when they were decommissioned. One machine of this type has been preserved in the Finnish Military Museum in Parole (Ps.601-9). I came across the claim that it is a T-38-KV, but the outer shapes of the hull are typical of the imitation T-34. The tower is primitive and bears the relationship of shapes with the KV-1, but probably with this vehicle, not so much emphasis was placed on the detail of the model of the real tower. I met the claim that it was T-38-34 in the Japanese source below. The preserved machine underwent reconstruction from 5/2002 and was not officially exhibited. I currently have no information about his condition.
