Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t) Ausfürung S (Pz. Kpfw. 38 (t) Ausf. S) Light tank produced by the Czech-Moravian Machine Works (ČMS) - German: Böhmisch-Mährische Maschinenfabrik (BMM) between 1939 and 1942 for the armed forces of the Third Reich (Wehrmacht) and the SS (Waffen SS).
A brief history of the German Army and the German Wehrmacht. The above-mentioned type was based on the serial export combat vehicle TNH-P (P - Persian, Iranian). In 1937 it was prepared by the ČKD factory for a new customer - the Swedish army - allegedly under the internal designation TNH-S (S - Swedish). The Czechoslovak armed forces took over the TNH-S prototype for testing and later included it in their armament. Representatives of the Czechoslovak Army used the TNH TNH in its military service. The first serial unit was taken over from ČKD. The other nine units were taken over by representatives of the "MNO in liquidation" for the German armed forces. The remaining number of tanks were taken over by Wehrmacht officers.
Initially, the Germans were not sure whether to include this tank in their armament, so they used the abbreviation LTM.38 (Leichte Tank Muster 38, meaning: light tank model 38) in their correspondence with BMM (ČKD). It was only after successful military tests that the tank was put into service.
This series of tanks is sometimes referred to in workshop documents as: TNH-Sv, was originally intended for export to Sweden, but was confiscated by the Wehrmacht and put into armament with the designation: Ausfürung S (Swedish version).
