Základem odznaku je zlatý věnec z obilných klasů v dolní části převázaný rudou stuhou. Ve středu stuhy vidíme klasické budovatelské nářadí srp a kladivo. Věnec je v horní části uzavřen rudým praporem na kterém je korejský nápis. Na středu tohoto věnce je naloženo stříbrné ozubené kolo (symbol dělnické třídy) a ve střední části tohoto kola je postava dělníka s velkým (převelkým) kladivem a ženu-rolnici se svazkem obilí.


Revers:
Zadní strana se šroubem a maticí (1.typ). Další typy jsou z obecného kovu se špendlíkem k upevnění na oděv. Na zadní straně je vždy registrační číslo řádu.

Na profilované hvězdici je naložena zlatá pěticípá hvězda se symbolem srpu a kladiva. V horní části hvězdy je rudý prapor KLDR a je zajímavé, že mezi rameny pěticípé hvězdy je malá kniha (bez textu) o které vtipálci tvrdí, že je to stranická knížka velkého vůdce.


Revers:
Zadní strana je profilovaná a zdá se, že celý řád je již jen lisovaný z tenkého plechu. Nechybí jehlice k upevnění na oděv.

The order of the work
Order of Labor
Order of labor was founded in 1951 and granted for the building of the homeland, the development of industry and agriculture. Was based only in a single stage or grade.
The first type of the order, which was made in Moskě company Mondvor is the quality of the work and to award to approximately to the year 1970.
This type of procedure, in the form as we have described, is imparted to the year 1970.
Order of labour II. type:
Procedure after 1970 has a form more suited to the ideological thinking of the comrades in high places who have already lost contact with a really working people. The order is awarded to the present day and the current point of the badges are more like mere trinkets.
Timetables in both types are based and awarded only in a single stage..
