German hunting cartridge from the turn of the 19th and 20th century (information on the year of introduction varies). The cartridge is still popular for hunting deer and is made by most European ammunition manufacturers, as well as some gun manufacturers chambering their rifles for this cartridge. The 19 g bullet has a muzzle velocity of 695 m/sec. Pictured is a product of Rheinisch Westfalischen Sprengstoff AG Germany. On the right is the 7,92x57 cartridge. Photo by.
