The smallest commercially produced centerfire cartridge. In 1913, Austrian watchmaker Georg Grabner invented the Kolibri ladies' self-loading pistol and this cartridge. Practical significance is nil; the higher energy round is found in many of today's airguns. The cartridge was manufactured by Franz Pfannl, Waffen und Munitionsfabrik in Krems am Danube. On the right is the 22 Long Rifle cartridge. Photo by.
