8x42 R

8 x 42 R Scheiben

One of a long line of target cartridges from the 1880s used by German and Austro-Hungarian rifle clubs. The cartridge has been reloaded multiple times and the signature is almost unnoticeable. Nevertheless, GR = Georg Roth, Vienna or Bratislava, Austria-Hungary is a bit visible. On the right is the 7.92 x 57 cartridge, photo by the author.
