"Leading Seamen Jack Foreman Mantle was responsible for charging the pom-pom cannon on the starboard side of the destroyer HMS Foylebank, when he was attacked by an enemy aircraft on June 4, 1941. and he continued firing only with hand-held equipment, as the electricity on the ship stopped working.He was wounded again several times in a moment.He had time to realize his severe injuries, which his early courage allowed him to endure in pain until the end. fighting as long as his cannon was useful. "
