In 2005, began production of motorcycle BMW R1200RT (R - indicates the engine type "boxer", a 1200 - volume engine and RT indicates the travel version of the motorcycle - Reise-Tourer).

The motorcycle squad of the Castle guard are motorcycles from 31.10.2011 in the number of seven pieces. R1200 RT used together with BMW motorcycles R1100 RT and BMW R1150RT and R1100 RT will be discarded. Compared to the standard implementation are single-person, supplemented by about two and strobe beacons in front, one slide-out lighthouse in the back, the sirens and the radio station Motorola with the possibility of communication without a helmet (outdoor microphone and speaker).

The engine has a bore of 101 mm and stroke of 73 mm. Max torque 115 Nm is available at 6000 rpm.
Rims have dimensions 3,50x17 and 5,50x17 and obouvají on them tyres with dimensions 120/70-ZR 17 and 180/55-ZR 17. The front brake discs have diameters enlarged to 320 mm.

Motorcycles have in addition to ABS, ESA (electronically adjustable suspension) and height adjustable saddle.
