A German hunting cartridge introduced in 1880-90, still produced in 52 and 60 mm case lengths, now completely obsolete. The specimen in the photo was made by the German company H. Utendoerffer, Nuremberg. On the right is the 7,92 x 57 cartridge, photo by the author.
