In 1954, a requirement arose for the development of an armoured personnel carrier that was to use the platform of the half-track artillery tractor under development PPT-8. The design study was established on 1.11.1954 by Ing.kpt. Jiri Pilbauer, and was approved the following day Gen.Janek. The Army ran the project under the designation Task No.3271, the civilian designation was U 9502. Two versions of the vehicle were planned. The first was to be a platoon-sized armoured infantry personnel carrier, the second version was to be a staff/divisional vehicle. On 11 November 1954, the study was expanded to include a requirement for an anti-aircraft gun designed for the Artillery Headquarters. The project (along with the finances) was pushed back to 1955, plans for the production of a prototype was pushed back even a year later. Due to the failure of the PPT-8 artillery tractor project, this armored personnel carrier project was cancelled in 1955.
