Engine Harbin Y-12-II air force of the islamic republic Mauritania crashed shortly after takeoff from the airport in the capital Nouakchott. All seven persons on board the aircraft were killed. The machine was completely destroyed.
The flight was for the company Kinross Gold Corporation and the plane went to the gold mine Tasiast, where it should pick up the gold. On board were in addition to the two-man crew, two mauritanian customs officials, and three members of the private security services.
