CZK - RK 3 (210mm raketomet)

Project of 210mm rocket launcher by Skoda (documentation Zb 1158P of 28.1.1948). It was a towed rocket launcher with an 8-fold rocket launcher firing rotary rockets. The prototype passed firing tests on 12.10.1949 at the firing range in Hluboké(Hluboké), during which 39 rockets were fired. The rocket launcher did not meet the required dispersal parameters. Modifications to the design were to be made and a decision was to be made as to whether it would be produced in a towed or self-propelled modification. There are photographs of a test prototype of the self-propelled version, the platform of which was a truck Tatra 128 (the designation of the self-propelled rocket launcher is unknown - in the context of nomenclature parallels with other rocket launcher projects, it would be possible that it would be referred to as RP 3 ????). The image is dated 1953.
A prototype of a towed version of the RK 3 was to be shown to the President of the Republic and government officials in 11/1950. The project was cancelled (1957 ?) after comparing the parameters with the established 130mm rocket launcher vz.51 due to the lack of advantages of the larger calibre rocket launcher.
