AV-3
The Praga AV-3 rescue vehicle is intended for the release of sunken and damaged vehicles, the transport of immobile vehicles to workshops, the repair of vehicles (such as a crane during the assembly of eg engines), the transport of cargo weighing up to 3000 kg on a crane hook.
Technical description
The chassis of the liberation car consists of a modified chassis of a truck Praga V3S . The modification consists in shortening the frame behind the last axle. Another modification is on the transmission. From the additional gearbox, a chain transmission is led to the master box, from which the drive to the winch is guided by an articulated connecting shaft. From the master box, the drive is guided by a chain transmission to the individual gearboxes, through which the drums of the crane ropes are controlled.
The crane consists of a subframe, a crane superstructure structure and crane arms. Rear fenders with vehicle equipment boxes are mounted on the sides of the subframe. In the front part of the subframe, the construction of the crane superstructure is fixed. In the lower part of the crane superstructure in the middle there are gearboxes, through which the right and left winding drum of the crane is controlled. The crane has two arms, the swivel mounting of which and the independent drive of the drums allows the crane to release or lift loads up to 3000 kg from either side of the vehicle. the working range of the crane is 270 ° and the working height of the crane arms is 2.45-3.9 m. When working on the sides of the vehicle, the crane can be stabilized by two extendable supports fixed in the upper part of the crane superstructure.
The winch is located in the center of the subframe above the rear axles of the vehicle. it is driven by an articulated connecting shaft from the master box, which is under the construction of the crane superstructure. The length of the winch rope is 55 m and the pulling force of the winch is 3000 kg.
