Bridge carrier PM-55 is a bridge set ensuring the smooth bridging of various, but especially anti-tank obstacles during the combat activities of troops. The bridge transporter consists of a heavy off-road vehicle Tatra T-813 8 x 8/the supporting tube is extended by 600 mm compared to the original chassis/equipped with a storage device for handling the bridge, a bulldozer device BZ-T 813 for landscaping and the necessary equipment. The storage device enables the lifting of the bridge from the obstacle, its folding, loading on the PM-55 and securing for transport, folding the bridge from the MP-55 into the terrain, while also ensuring the laying of the bridge over the obstacle. The bridge can be lifted from an obstacle from any bank. The bridge consists of a crew on the terrain directly from the cabin.

For the laying of the bridge over the obstacle with the first bridge had to fold on the ground and once again load up but in the opposite position. Otherwise, the laying of the bridge over the obstacle is carried out only in necessary cases....

PM-55: IN the case that it is occasionally the need to move the PM-55 with reverse load of the bridge to the obstacle at a greater distance ,it is necessary to drive very carefully max.the speed of 15km/h and not more than 3 km ,due to the very high load carrying frame of the superstructure. When you add all the weight on the front dvojnápravě,vometený a sample of tires, the weight of the blade in the front so I didn't move on as 3 km ridden Rolling Eyes

So you don't know, but the first photo from M.Merry proves that the bridge could be loaded and vice versa. I don't know, however, if on each container, and whether it should do so. The barge in the photo, however he was able to deck i lay, because it has the same configuration as the MT-55.

The configuration of the certainly equivalent, but the procedure, which we can see on that picture, certainly from the layout of the bridge does not lead. Just look at it, under what angle it is now the bridge towards the earth, if it were to spread, would at this moment had to be already opened up, which is not and therefore I believe that the bridge is also only composed on the ground subsequent for use with MT-55.

If the bridge like this, not normally... anyone Know how it really looks like the procedure of unloading?.

The procedure of folding of the bridge I saw on the Libavé. You MT-55 comes to an obstacle, then lay part of the bridge deck hydraulics to the ground and lifts it into almost is 90. then the deck begins to open and at the same time slowly lowering a piece of over the country until the complete opening. Once the bridge deck completely open, so he lays on the ground. But the tatra would do with it probably didn't, because the mosťák is despite its weight quite a bit zvedlý the back parts above the ground. - approx. buko1: the quoted text is false and is vyvrátený more informáciami (including trenažéra)..

I'm with this přepravníkem drove in the army. First and foremost is the need to say that this kit PM55 served as a matter of priority as the transporter of the backup bridge for bridge tank MT55. Transportation of the bridge took place normally as it is in the photos above in this forum, i.e. the tips ahead of time, when the bridge was loaded and secured the locks and pins through the use of hydraulics. In the case that he wanted most just fold to the ground, where it then picked up the bridge tank, it was enough to just recline the back support, loosen the locks and the rope, lifting the central column and the bridge run after the rollers on the ground.
In the case that they wanted a bridge to build a means of transport PM55, veered into the bridge the other way. Rear support is dropped, the bridge has tapped into the selections in the support, and a hydraulic cylinder with a hook is hooked to the rods in the bridge. Ranked is rozporka for lana, lana has participated in rozporky in the bridge. Then picked up the central column. The winch is the bridge raised up to the position (90°), when leaned against the erect pole and then using a pole and reel put up on the car. Remained so loaded the car on backwards as seen in the next photo. This is then accumulated to the obstacle that needed to be bridged. Bridge using the central column again raised, and at the same time hold the drawn rope. In the position 90°using the zaháklého hydraulic piston, which is bringing, started with rozevíráním of the bridge and its gradual start using a winch and rope. The bridge itself has a pulley and rope, and using this scissor mechanism occurs its spread. (Beautifully is this seen in the photos with the model)
Maybe I didn't write enough of course, but in practice it is not complicated. Just need to have the car when laying the cost on a hard surface and at least a little bit on the plane otherwise it will release the iron, place the rope from the pulley and to the fall of the bridge, which I several times succeeded. It wasn't pleasant, in the fall it pulls the whole rear of the car about 1m into the air Smile Once I get ripped off, even the radio in the cab and then I hunted her down under the passenger seat Smile
Furthermore, it is here above written another inaccuracy and that the bridge could be laid directly from the cabin. That is possible, but impractical.
The bridge asked a machinist who formed the crew together with the driver (I was alone). In side the glove box next to the driver's door was then stored control cabinet (cca30x20x10cm) on the cable about 10m long navinutém on the built-in špulce, using this control is then a bridge would. In the cabin, of course, was the other firmly zabuduvané control (on the photo you can see, it's the box in the middle behind the front window), but it is used, it wasn't practical because of the cab was not well seen on the laying of the bridge, which required a bit of skill and emotion.
When staff checks I thought the bridge over the obstacle at the time was Envisaged that from the already prepared bridge (reverse naloženému) incl. the cursor to the obstacle, laying and making of the highest bridge.

For more information feel free to send an e-mail and if someone this container you own, I'd like him again ever seen. E-mail: beebo@seznam.cz of Course I would welcome any other photos or the manual to the bridge and its construction.

This photo shows the loading of the bridge to the transporter PM55.
It is about the act when it was rear foot support mileage to the bridge deck and when using a pulley on the vztyčeném the center pole and the ropes leads to overturning of the bridge on the vehicle. Steps backwards loaded the bridge is then ready to hover to the obstacle and to his subsequent laying.
This whole act then I'm describing above.
With best regards L.White.
