The machine stripped of the gun, its aiming and firing instruments, ammunition mounts, turret rotation and gun sight controls, the coupled machine gun and ammunition boxes. The gun bore was covered by armour. The machine was used to train tank drivers. Thus stripped it had considerably reduced fuel consumption. The crew consisted of a driver-pupil, an instructor sat in the tower in the place of the commander and other pupils (1-2 persons) sat on makeshift seats. The instructor had at his disposal a combined apparatus for monitoring the operation of the vehicle (pressure gauges, thermometers, tachometer, fuel gauge...).
