2. sv. válka - Luftwaffe - Výstrojní části

Luftwaffe - Equipment parts
Giant. 1: The major, ready to board his machine, has a winter flight hood of the original brown design, full leather with a lamb inside (part of the hood, the strap with throat microphones is disconnected). He is wearing a zipped flight suit, winter gloves and popular flight boots, also with zippers. The parachute harness is one of several types used, on the left side of the parachute opening handle. Luftwaffe pilots liked to use equipment taken from captured crews of Allied aircraft, especially American bombers. Jackets, fur trousers and entire overalls were popular for their practicality and quality.
The Hauptmann jacket in Fig. 1, awarded the RK and ŽK I. class, could also be the American model A 2, but the Luftwaffe leather summer jacket differed very little from the American one. "Boat" cap with yellow lining for flying personnel. Black belt with Luftwaffe buckle, 7.65 mm pistol holster on it. Walking trousers and low shoes, light blue shirt.
Giant. 3: An officer in a tropical variant of the uniform, used in Africa, Italy, Greece and Corsica, was worn with shorts of the same color, but this pilot is wearing flight pants. Marking on the blouse and on the light, soft brigadier only in the form of textile patches.
Giant. 4: An aviator in a winter jacket with a lamb inside.
Fig. 5: The summer hood differed in a mesh, "ventilated" upper part, the straps with bakelite neck microphones are visible, fastened with a "patent", an oval box for the earphone with a molding for the glasses strap, the fastening clip for the glasses in the back part. During the war, helmets with a predominance of textile material were introduced, the original ones made of brown leather were sometimes painted gray, and the helmets and electroacoustic equipment were supplied mainly by Siemens Hakenfelde.
Giant. 6: Many different types of aviation goggles were used, from manufacturers in the Empire and prey.
