Together formed a mobile battle group. Regiments of panzer grenadiers, which should have both, again, two battalions, already mostly have not been-motorized in-as lacked means of transport and fuel. Break down should the staff and staff platoon, a supply platoon, a platoon of infantry guns (motorized), combat engineer platoon and two battalions of three columns of the panzer grenadiers, machine-gun platoon and the heavy platoon. If any part of these regiments motorizována, then the last two squads. Tank volumes, which lack the men and material not permitting the achievement of the above breakdown, should be deployed in the forms of battle groups, with one regiment of the panzer grenadiers. This was the case for the majority of the divisions..

In the peace state there were three motorcycle rifle battalions (1-3) for the first three panzer divisions. In may of 1939 originated from the IV. eskadrony Equestrian rifle regiment 4 even Motocyklistický section 6. Motocyklistický rifle battalion consisted of three motocyklistických shooting red (9 light machine guns, two heavy machine guns and 3 light mortars), the motorcycle machine-gun company (8 machine-guns and 6 medium mortars) and heavy platoon, which was in the assembly an anti-tank platoon with three anti-tank guns, artillery platoon with two light infantry guns and a sapper platoon. Before the French drag originated from Even. section Reconnaissance regiment 7 still Motocyklistický gun battalion 7. The battalion had two motorcycle rifle company and one heavy company).

Extensions
When expanding a motorized volumes on twenty tank divisions and ten infantry divisions (motorized) in the fall of 1940 received each of these divisions, if it already had one motocyklistický rifle battalion. The assembly is compared to the above not changed, there has been an increase in the number of light machine guns in motocyklistických shooting company on 18 pieces.

The numbers of the battalions coincided with the numbers of divisions only partially. In a number of cases where this was not so, was a match for at least the last digits of the division with the number of the battalion.

Merge motocyklistických rifle battalions
In the winter of 1941-1942 the hits have all been cancelled, motorcycle rifle battalions of 16 and 19 and their team was incorporated into the scout sections of their superiors divisions. In 1942, then there was generally to the merger of the scout sections and motocyklistických rifle battalions. Motorcycle rifle battalions now consisted of a tank přezvědné company, two motocyklistických shooting rot, motorcycle machine-gun company and a heavy company.

New motorcycle rifle battalions

Renaming some sections and new sections
Due to the change 14. and 36. infantry division (motorized) infantry division, occurred in the year 1943 also to change the name of the tank scout sections 114 and 136 on the exploratory sections. In November 1943 and in February 1944 they were on the contrary, built a new armored reconnaissance sections.

Change in the structure of
The breakdown of tank scout sections of tank divisions to be changed in accordance with the regulation of the 24. September 1943. Sections of the divisions of panzer grenadiers with the change shouldn't be in. But in the end, actually failed to make the change even in the tank. The prescription assumed that the section will have three tank přezvědné company (one 7.5 cm assault guns), one rifle company, one motocyklistickou a rifle company and one heavy company. Instead, the resulting structure such: the staff rota, tank přezvědná company, two reinforced rifle companies, one heavy company and one security company. Heavy losses of the winter of 1944-1945 necessitated the reorganization of tank divisions and divisions of the panzer grenadiers the panzer division 45. This change brought downsizing in the tank scout sections. The remains consisted of a mixed tank přezvědné company and a reconnaissance company, two rifle companies and alarm company.

Other sections
At the end of 1944 and in 1945 were set up or restored yet another armored reconnaissance sections.
-- table --
In addition, several separate companies, and one battalion composed of přezvědných armored vehicles.

Reconnaissance parties
At the infantry and mountain divisions did not exist in peace time reconnaissance sections. You have been set up at the outbreak of the war of the units of the cavalry regiments. In division 1. and 2. the waves consisted of riding eskadrony (9 light and 2 heavy dulomety), cycling eskadrony (9 light machine guns, 2 heavy machine guns and 3 light mortars) and heavy eskadrony (3 towed by a motorized anti-tank guns, three light motorized infantry guns and 2 recon armored cars). In division 3. and 4. waves absentovala riding eskadrona and tank přezvědné team. The mountain divisions were horse riding and cycling eskadrona, but lacked the hard eskadrona. Also in the case of other newly zřižovaných divisions was the disposition of the recon units very different. In the case of division 13.-15. waves of these units were not allocated, in the case of 5.-8. wool was assigned to the bicycle eskadrona in the already mentioned section of tank destroyers and recon. In some divisions 12. the waves were riding eskadrony.

Numbering and reduction
Reconnaissance sections were assigned numbers according to the numbers of the divisional units, which sometimes followed the division number, sometimes not. To avoid misunderstandings due to the same number of the exploratory section of the division of different types but of the same numbers, carry sections of division 1. waves of initially marking "the reconnaissance section x. infantry division". Generally proved impractical to combine in one section of the unit motorized, horse-riding and cycling, which have different marching speed. First there was the removal of equestrian eskadron, which both enhance 1. the equestrian division, first serve to the formation of equestrian volumes on the eastern front. Reconnaissance sections were then renamed to the cycling battalions, respectively in 1942, mostly on the cycling sections. If you were associated with the units of tank destroyers was the renaming of the fast sections. When it was 1. April 1943 established the tank troops, to get bicycle sections and the fast sections, whose staffs have arisen in the merging of the staffs of scout sections (and not partitions tds), back to the name of the exploratory sections and moved to the infantry.

Divisional battalion
In the reorganization of the divisions of the tříplukových about nine battalions on the dvouplukové was divisions in the east left the seventh battalion as a layout unit, and was referred to as the divisional battalion. The regulation on the division of a new type of 44 from the 2. October 1943 marked the these battalions as fyzilírské battalions. The renaming, however, should have been on the basis of the regulation of 26. July 1943. The new regulation, but went on and slučovalo the existing remnants of the scout sections with these fyzilírskými battalions, respectively, changed some exploratory sections on the fyzilírské battalions. It should be noted that these fyzilírské battalions had nothing to do with fyzilírskými regiments, which were of the traditional reasons renamed some of the infantry regiments in the framework of the renaming of infantry regiments to regiments grenadier. Fyzilírské battalions had four companies, one of them severe. The first company was equipped with bicikly. Regulation of 1. September 1943 introduced for these battalions to infantry divisions heading their superiors divisions, which was not always identical with the number of divisional units.

Divisional fyzilírské battalions (And.And.)
On the basis of the regulation of 23. February 1944, received these flags a new name. Since it should be 57 battalions referred to as the divisional fyzilírské battalions (And.And.), thus should be reminded of the tradition of the former part of the cavalry. At the same time the color change weapons on the yellow and the names of certain ranks. It was about flags 1, 6, 7, 11, 12, 15, 21, 23, 24, 26, 30-32, 34-36, 45, 46, 57, 58, 62, 65, 68, 69, 75, 79, 94, 110-112, 121, 125, 134, 168, 170, 171, 208, 227, 254, 256, 257, 263, 269, 271, 299, 305, 329, 331, 333-335, 349, 352, 353, 356, 362 and 376. In addition, received a 38 rot the remaining designations esakdrona, again with reference to the tradition of the cavalry. Only these battalions and companies were nadáel replenished through the exploration of spare partitions. The remaining divisional fzyilírské battalions were replenished through the grenadier replacement battalions.

Brigade
7. march 1943 was on the basis of in February in the Benelux translated backup cycling regiments of 20 and 30 built fast brigade 20 and 30 (sometimes also referred to as the cycling brigade). Brigades were subordinated to the fast sections 503-507, 509-513, 517, and 518, which were created from the backup cycle of the partitions. Bicycle reconnaissance brigade of Norway was formed in July 1944 from the same regiment. In January 1945, it was set up 10. cycling hunting brigade on the three bicycle jäger battalions and one artillery section for deployment in East Prussia..
