AMX 13 DCA


A cast steel turret with two 30mm calibre guns is mounted on a light tank chassis AMX 13. It was adopted into the armament of the French Army in 1969. The RL Oeil Noir 1 (Black Eye 1) mounted on the rear of the turret is used to detect the situation over the battlefield, the radar is scanned during movements, in the late 1970s the turrets were mounted on an improved tank chassis AMX 30. The drive train consists of 5 travel wheels on each side a tension wheel at the rear and a drive wheel at the front and 3 carrier pulleys. DCA = Défence Contre Avions.
