In mid-1943, involved in the production of vehicles m/41 and m/42 to the Swedish army according to the plan, but also to the neutral Swedes got information from Finland and Germany, on the basis of which Sweden has concluded that light tanks m/41 and m/42 would not be sufficient to avert a potential invasion.
Representatives of the Swedish army had the opportunity to study in Finland captured tank T-34, whose structures were impressed. Based on the results of this research it was decided to build a larger and heavier tanks, and even in the category of tanks "light". Also on the basis of these materials proposed by the company Scania-Vabis improvement program tanks TNH-Sv (Strv m/41), in the form of two heavily revised versions of this machine by including modern elements into the original Czech design, especially the angled and reinforced armor, a new modern osmiválce Scania on the performance of 220 hp.with. and strong, 57mm anti-tank cannon. The weight of both designs is compared to the original TNH-Sv of course lifted about 2, or 4 tons.
This project was competing in particular with the project of the company Landsverk (Terra) on the role of a new modern light tank in the Swedish army. Terra even these projects, however, were rejected.
