Externí fortifikace

External fortification

These outer fortifications of castles, which is outside the framework of a narrative of the castle ring. Mainly these are extruded (with a castle connected by a corridor) and a separate forward fortifications. A typical example of an extruded fortifications is the tower Lichtenštejnka at the castle Sovinci. In contrast, a typical prismatic bulwark is the White tower in the castle Lipnice nad Sázavou. Some advanced fortifications could be at a later period incorporated into a coherent castle ring, an example of this is the Logs at the castle Hukvaldy.
