Hans Georg Fritzsche end of 1. world war worked as a journalist.
1. may 1933 joined the NSDAP. The Reich ministry for people's enlightenment and propaganda headed the department of radio. In mid-1938 he became deputy director of the Německho the press department, which controlled domestic news media. Already in December 1938 to become director of this office. In may 1942 here the personal control took the Goebbels and Fritzsche returned back to work for the ministry as head of the department of radio in the ministry and also as an agent of political organization Velkoněmeckého radio.
2. may 1945 was Fritzsche arrested by soviet troops and transported to Moscow to the prison of Lubyanka, where he was after a harsh interrogation, forced to sign a confession. Subsequently, he was tried before the Nuremberg tribunal, where he was charged with conspiracy to commit crimes against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity. He was acquitted of the charges because it became clear that he never personally participated the genocide of the Jews, nor to assist, encourage and in two cases even tried to stop the issuance of the anti-semitic newspaper Der Stürmer. Later he was tried západoněmeckým denacifikačním court and sentenced to nine years. He was released in September 1950 and died 3 years later of cancer.
