Pz.Kpfw.-Turm I (Normalserie)

Standard Pz.Kpfw.I light tank turrets were mounted as permanent firing posts on the ceiling of the bunkers. The turrets were not modified in any way. Their armament consisted of a pair of MG 13k machine guns of 7.92 mm calibre. The sight was of type T.Z.F.2. The total ammunition supply was 45,000-60,000 rounds. The armour of the turret was 13 mm at the front, the shield of the machine guns was 7-15 mm, the sides were 13 mm thick and the ceiling was 8 mm thick. The height of the turret itself was about 345 mm.
A total of 250 "T 1 (MA)" turrets were prepared at the Heeres Zeugamt in Magdeburg. At Werktatt Kdtr. Hill another 31 "T 1 (H)" turrets were ordered, 11 units were delivered. The turret status report of 26 March 1945 showed 20 turrets in Denmark, 3 turrets on the Atlantic or West Vale, 161 in the Balkans and 76 on the Eastern Front.
