Fuerza Aérea Uruguaya (FAU) came on the plane Cessna A-37B Dragonfly, reg. 273, v. no 75-00413 that crashed 35 miles northeast of the air base 2nd Lt. Mario W. Parrallada (BARREL), Durazno. Killing both crew members, Teniente Primero (Aviador) - 1st Lieutenant - Diego Tabaré Medeiros Pérez and Teniente Segundo (Aviador) - 2nd Lieutenant - Cristian Javier Esteves Rojas, who performed a training flight. The machine belonged to Air Aereo N° 2 (CAZA).
