my grandfather remembers that as kids, collected from the landmines "pills", you then stuffed into pots/curtain poles and detonated. Grandpa I was showing the pictures of landmines from WW2 and as the "right" identified the Schu-mine 42. According to wikipedia, was loaded with explosives at this mine consists of TNT - it is possible that it was in the form of powder? Alternatively, what else could grandfather describe?
It also mentions that the "pills" can't blow up "on the spot", because it's shredded. Therefore, they took something called the "ignition noodles" (the hollow), that something already (e.g., put on the wood), just to hold it. Teamed up as follows "ignition noodles" about in length 3 - 4 m, set on fire, slow fire and in the meantime, they ran somewhere to hide. "Noodles" are burnt out when to pot/garnýži with "pills" and then it blew up.
I have no idea what could be the "ignition noodles", especially if they have to be hollow. Do you have any idea? (Grandpa mentioned that he would "noodle" (he used the same word) might be taking from the charges and said that in artillery over the shells were the biggest/longest). Any idea?
