SOV - Ch-33

Quote: članek Sukhoi T-4 Sotka by ICE

The armament was to consist of two Ch-45 supersonic anti-ship missiles. A team led by N.S. Čerňakov worked on the design of the missile, designated Ch-33, but the design was referred to the design bureau (KB) of A.J. Berezňaka, where it was reworked and designated Ch-45. The rockets were powered by a TPH engine. The expected range was 600 km. The rockets were to move along a semi-ballistic path according to the target coordinates entered into the on-board autopilot memory. In order to reliably engage the adversary's SAMs, they could move at 3M+. The end guidance was provided by a radar head, but it is not stated in what mode it was to operate. The weight of the warhead could have been as much as 500 kg and it was assumed that a nuclear warhead with a tritol equivalent would be used. The total weight of the missile was 4,500kg. One piece was to be placed on each of the two sub-tank boosters.
