On 9.12.1930 specifications for new command and liaison vehicles were drawn up, then on 9.1.1931 two versions of the required vehicles were approved. A four-seater Type M with the equipment listed in the table above and a Type Q which had the same specifications supplemented by increased snow clearance.
Type Q was represented by a pair of Citroën P 15 N (Type Q) prototypes.
Type M was represented by Berliet VUC type M and Citroën P 26 A (Type M) prototypes.
The Citroën P 26 A (Type M) used a standard chassis on which an armoured superstructure was mounted with a characteristic rear wall slope. The roof featured hinged panels. The prototype bore the registration mark "79 977".
None of these types were taken into series production. In fact, Renault entered the competition in 3/1933 with their design for the Renault YS, which also saw a small production run.
