Drážďany - Dopravní muzeum

The transport museum at first glance is not the right thing for fans of the military, but I think that has a lot to offer. The museum is located in a historic building Johannea near the famous dresden church Fraeunkirche in the very center of Dresden.

In the entrance vestibule most certainly deliver a racing special. After buying the ticket we can then either take the transport to the railway exposure, to the left to the exposure of personal transport (cars, motorcycles), or a means around the staircase (there is also space to store any backpacks or in winter jackets) in the central hall. The despite its size hides in principle only, but the more interesting exhibit - the suspended airplane Bleriot. If we climb on the floor above and we'll get into the space, which for the most part located above the entrance vestibule, we find here the exhibition dedicated to aviation. The central room is dominated by our aircraft Aero A-45 in the east German coloring, then at least a significant part, the aircraft is located "in the air", and he's missing virtually the entire left wing in the space from the engine further. This engine has then the right side cover made of plexiglas, therefore you can see the engine. In the room itself still catch the eye of the historic aircraft engines, or a balloon. In the next room to the right then set different parts of the aircraft - such as engine with a propeller of the airplane Il-14 and part of the project of the east German jet transport aircraft a Really interesting project. In the room left with then are mostly different issues with aviation, where you can small and great win, what there is, however, interesting is the part of the air of the cabin - literally cut a modern transport aircraft, so his part for the passengers.

In the following a large room dedicated to the ships of the us impresses with its airy design in the shape of a ship. There are several smaller vessels from the larger ones just their part. Fairly abundantly are represented by different models of river and sea ships from different periods. The few ships of war represents to be a viking drakar or a galleon, the other combat ships (cruisers, torpedoborce) we were looking for just hard. Furthermore, there are also pieces of the ship's history, the flag or other trifle, own place here has a suitcase of a passenger from the Titanic.

As we head into the opposite room there is exposure to traffic - where you can ride a bike or another under its own power powered vehicle, but don't let anyone get run over! The whole is completed by a few of the exhibits - such as a round of travelers with all possible bagáží.

Followed by the next floor, here you can in one room to relax while you or your kids will play (if you don't have them, I don't mind - the museum is large enough).

However, the second room is more interesting - it discusses the rail, i.e. the model. In the display cases are mostly exposed to models of the machines and wagons, all sorts of standards and implementation, but also the production date, so you can run both on one of the older and on the latest models. One the case is given to the technique of production models and add-ons (forms, etc.). The long opposite wall, then from one end to the other fills the large panel of the model railway.

But let's go back down, in the space dedicated to the rail attracts several steam and one electric machine. At least until the two can even get through schůdkům. In the end we have only a last room dedicated to passenger transport. When we enter into it from the lobby as the first of us to welcome the horse in life - size of course model - yes getting started the oldest transport so there are all possible means of transport, before the invention of the bicycle and subsequently the internal combustion engine. Then we go around the first odrážedel and bikes for first bikes and cars. You are both placed in the floor level, but then also on iron construction, you can see it too. Variety of old veterans that enriches even the longest produced bike - Green-Böhmerland. So as we go further we get to the slightly younger cars. We can be pleased that there is representation of the Czech (or czechoslovak) production and right Skoda 1000 MB and Octávií (50. years). However, the most is a German production. There can even miss a classic Trabant or Wartburg. But beware, there are only there of these conquests of socialism! There are also vehicles as well as a little bit older, but the production of these brands (especially the Wartburg), so I have to say that they are very modern and beautiful cars (for its time).
