Tatra 815-7 PRAM

Vehicle on the chassis Tatra 815-7T3RC1 8x8.1R Armoured Double Cab designed for transporting an anchored mortar vz. 82 PRAM-L (or its towing), its crew, ammunition and material.

It is a temporary replacement of similarly designed vehicles V3S M1 ZČ and V3S M2 ZČ operated by mortar batteries of mechanized battalions 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade and 7th Mechanized Brigade. The purchase was made after the testing of the prototype Tatra 810 PRAM showed its shortcomings (overloading of the front axle and the resulting shortening of the service life of some components). After the introduction of a full-fledged self-propelled mortar into the armament of mortar batteries of mechanized battalions, it is expected that vehicles on the Tatra 815-7T3RC1 chassis will be operated as carriers of artillery shells and other ammunition.

The vehicle is capable of working independently for 7 days while fulfilling the requirements according to the predetermination for basic maintenance and refilling of fuel, as well as ensuring continuous work of the crew for 4 days, 12 hours per day (with the most necessary hygienic breaks and refilling of drinking water, food, personal use material, spare parts and ammunition).

The crew consists of:
- mortar squad leader,
- the aimer,
- loader,
- driver (C+E) - EC engineer.

The contract for the delivery of 41 mortar carriers vz. 82 PRAM-L for CZK 618,636,700 was concluded on 29 February 2016. The handover ceremony of all ordered vehicles took place on Monday, 17 July 2017. It lies in the permanent presence of multinational battle group NATO member states on the basis of the reinforced mechanized battalions (about 1000 and more persons) in the baltic states and in Poland. The activity of each martial group controls and the responsibility for their construction and lasting fulfillment carry the head of the country, which are also the largest providers of manpower and resources. The leading country in the battle groups will operate in the long term, the other allies then they will be militarily contribute to the voluntary principle and the rotary way. The leading countries for Estonia is the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Germany, Canada, Latvia and the USA for Poland. The head of the country called on the allies to provide national military contributions to the cluster. The first units of the eFP have been stationed in the baltic states at the beginning of 2017 with the fact that operational capability will be achieved by mid-June 2017.

The army of the CZECH republic into the eFP has contributed rotním the task group on the basis of the mechanized platoon 41. mechanized battalion mounted on the territory of Lithuania (of up to 230 people with combat vehicles of infantry KBVP Pandur II CZ, or command KBV-VR Pandur II CZ) and minometou squad 71. mechanized battalion sits on the territory of Latvia (in number of 60 persons). The first unit, which travelled to the Baltic states, with 14. The combat command was centred on a Latvian military base in the training area Adazi, distant about 45 km northeast from the capital city of Riga.
