In the Russian magazine Броня №2 (Armour Collection No.2 ????) from 2000 it was stated that Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.B, a specimen of which is in Kubinka, was equipped with a device allowing the tank to cruise.
Now a photo has surfaced of a tank that looks like the aforementioned tank. It has relatively large float-like structures on its sides. Although the source dates the photo to 1944 ( Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 1 "Teil der Kampfgruppe Frank"), the photo suggests that it is from the beginning of the fighting on the Eastern Front. I assume that it is a field rebuild.
