CLB 75 tank

The CLB-75 tank was developed by C. L. Best Tractor Company (at the time of development, the company was doing business as C. L. Best Gas Traction Company) sometime in late 1916 and early 1917. The tank was publicly shown (and photographed) at a parade on July 4, 1917 in San Francisco.

I have been unable (so far) to track down information on eventual mass production, according to sources found so far only 2 prototypes were produced using the 1916 Model 75 tractor chassis.

In addition to promotional activities, the tank was also used for training (though probably as promotional as the tank's participation in a parade), as evidenced by the attached photos of training by members of the California National Guard (training unit probably the 5th. Infantry Regiment, renamed the 159th Infantry Regiment, 40th Division, after August 1917).
