TUR - Hisar-A (protiletadlový komplet krátkého dosahu)

Brief history
The Hisar-A and Hisar-O missiles use identical warheads and identical controls. The Turkish word "hisar" translates to: fortress. Design-wise, the "A" and "O" versions differ in size and rocket motor performance. Aselsan is responsible for the development of the air defence weapon system and Roketsan for the development of the missile propulsion system. The conversion of the ACV-30 transporter to Füze Fırlatma Sistemi (FFS) was provided by fma. FNSS Savunma Sistemleri.

Hisar-A
The letter "A" is an abbreviation for the Turkish term: the Alçak Irtifa Hava Savunma Füze Sistemi (low-altitude air defense missile system).
The four Hisar-A missile launchers, the Kalkan tracking radar and the optoelectronic system are mounted on the ZPTP (Zırhlı Paletli Taşıyıcı Platform) tracked missile, which is based on the ACV-30 transporter. The basic equipment of the Hisar ZPTP vehicle includes a protective filter-ventilation system, air conditioning, heating, automatic fire suppression system and AN/VVS-2 night vision system. Smoke grenade launchers are located in the front part of the hull. A remote-controlled 7.62 mm machine gun is located in the left part of the vehicle's nose.
On the move, the containers and the radar are folded and fixed to the roof of the vehicle. Upon arrival in firing position, the system is deployed and the shipping containers are rolled into a vertical firing position. The electronic equipment carried allows the Hisaru-A to operate independently or in conjunction with the battery control system of the air defence system.
