31.10.2019 - Japonsko, Okinawa: požár hradu Šuri

Castle Šuri, which is located in the city of Naha on the island of Okinawa, was almost completely destroyed by fire. This is a great cultural loss, the castle was a monument of UNESCO. Fortunately, there were casualties. Virtually was destroyed already once, and that was in 1945, when the american conquest of Okinawa. The year 1992 was completed its reconstruction. I hope it will be restore again. The cause of the fire is yet under investigation, but there is speculation whether it could not affect the work probíhájící in the preparation of the program here is held the festival.

Well actually, it's already the fifth time the castle was destroyed, 3x fire, 1x during the battle of Okinawa and now, therefore, for the fifth time ...
And actually, I'm not sure, but I have the impression that UNESCO is a castle like complex, i.e. it is in particular about the original foundations of the castle fortifications and the stone gate, because all the wood is older more than 70 years.
According to the shots was completely destroyed by the Seiden (the main royal building) and very strongly (probably irreparably) damaged by the Nanden (south hall), Bandokoro (entrance hall) and the Hokuden and the fire was struck and a gateway Hóšimon.
Representative Okinavské prefecture Tamaki "Dennis" Jasuhiro already called for the rebuilding of the castle.
