20. January 2020 at the age of 72 years died Jaroslav Kubera, chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech republic.

On Monday 3. February was declared a day of national mourning. The president of the republic Miloš Zeman announced that Jaroslav Kuberu 28. October 2020, is honoring the highest state honours Order of the white lion in memoriam.
