In early 1944, the regiment was in combat over the Dnieper and Dniester rivers, followed by fighting over Moldavia. In the summer of 1944 it participated in both the Yas-Kishinev and the Lvov-Sandomierz operations. Subsequently, he operated over Poland and East Germany.
