| Poznámka: Note: | 1954 oddělení strojírenské a zbrojní výroby v rámci společnosti Vickers-Armstrongs od výroby lodní 1977 závod v Barrows, vyrábějící vybavení pro lodě stavěné zde Vickersovými loděnicemi, pravděpodobně znárodněn společně s nimi, začátek úpadku firmy 1979 uzavřena a zbourána zbrojovka v Elswicku, krátce poté sousední v Scotswoodu; na jejich místě postavena 1982 nová tanková továrna spadající pod Vickers Defence Systems - počátkem 80. let firma nečinná, její výrobní závody uzavřeny nebo převzaty jinými Vickersovými pobočkami; v této podobě jako Vinters-Armstrongs (Engineers) existuje dodnes | 1954 Vickers-Armstrongs' engineering and armaments division were separated from shipbuilding 1977 plant in Barrows producing equipment for the ships built here by Vickers shipyards probably nationalized together with the shipyards; beginning of the company's decline 1979 arsenal in Elswick closed and demolished, shortly after also the adjacent Scotswood plant; in their place was in 1982 built a new tank factory under Vickers Defence Systems - early 80s company became dormant, its factories are closed or taken over by other branches of Vickers; in this form it still exists as Vinters-Armstrongs (Engineers) |
