Military hub for the reconstructed jehlovku Chassepot, marked Gras M1874. Cartridge brass, bullet of lead of a weight 25,10 g with a paper collar. The charge was also applied for the Greek zadovku Mylonas M1874.
In 1879 he was charge refurbished. Was reinforced casings and used a bullet weighing 24,90 g..

The Gras hub on the left m. 1874 is a failure, product f. Atelier de Chargement de Vincennes NF is the brand name of a metal foundry. The Gras on the right m. 1879 already has a jacketed bullet. Made by f. Societe Francaise de Munitions, formerly Gevelot & Gaupilat, Paris, France. The cartridge bears both the new embossing SFM and the old embossing monogram GG.
