TAB-77
A version of the BTR-70 armoured personnel carrier licensed from Romania. Compared to the original Soviet variant, the Romanian machine is equipped with two Romanian-made Model 797-05M1 diesel engines and a new gun turret armed with KPVT 14.5 mm and PKT 7.62 mm machine guns.
The driver (left) and the commander (right) have their workstations in the front part of the hull. Behind them is the combat area, which consists of a full-circle gun turret (weapons are aimed -5° to +85°) and the landing area, which is accessed by a side door located between the 2nd and 3rd axle. An engine-gear compartment then fills the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle is amphibious, which is made possible by a single watermaker in the rear of the hull.
