It is designed to destroy current and prospective types of tanks protected by dynamic armour (reactive armour), defended point targets (tanks in the trench) and small-scale targets by day and night. The Kliver module is armed with four 9M133 PTRS, a 2A72 30mm automatic cannon and a PKT machine gun. The BTR-80 modernization consists of improved firing capabilities, made possible by the new ŠKVAL turret system, and the 2A72 cannon.
