Freikorps Roßbach

The Freikorps Roßbach (also Freiwilligen-Sturmabteilung Roßbach) marched 1,500 km from Berlin and saved the Eiserne Division from destruction in action near Thorensburg in November 1919. He attacked the Lithuanian army which surrounded the Freikorps units, broke the siege and held the Lithuanian troops until The Iron Division did not escape.

The government ordered the dissolution after she returned from the Baltic in December 1919, but Roßbach refused. It was dissolved after the Kapp coup and used to form the Jagerbataillon 39 Reichswehr. It was abolished again during the reorganization, but remained in operation under various pseudonyms such as the workers' association or the detective agency, parts of it fought against the Poles in Lower Silesia and later took part in the beer coup in Munich in 1923.

It was permanently canceled in a ceremony on November 9, 1933 to mark the tenth anniversary of the beer coup.
