The 10.5-cm-FlaK 38 was the "big brother" of the famous 8.8-cm-FlaK 18. Despite being a greater threat to Allied pilots, the 105 never achieved the glory of its smaller sibling. Unlike the 88, it was a static weapon and was never included in the armament of mobile FLAK units of the ground army. The 105 was originally developed for use by the German Navy, but in 1933 work began on a ground version. Production began in 1938. Production of a modified version continued from 1939. Optimal use was for targets flying at an altitude of around 7000 m. The weapon was electronically sighted, which initially caused considerable problems. Despite remaining in the shadow of the 88 and 128, the weapon served reliably throughout the war.

10.5-cm-FlaK 39
Redesigned FlaK 38, change of the electric drive of the charging mechanism from DC to AC, new five-stage barrel instead of the single-stage barrel of the 38, new data transmission system.

10.5-cm-FlaK 39/40
Was actually a FlaK 39 on the 12.8-cm-FlaK 40 platform, never made it into production.
