A charge of medium ballistic performance, the development of which took place during WWII in Zbrojovka Brno under the leadership of Alois Farlík.
Directed by the Koucký brothers, a small ZK 423 machine gun and an automatic carbine ZK 412 were created for this charge.
It was similar in size and performance to the German 7.92 x 33.
The approximate form can be reconstructed only according to the charge chamber of the only preserved specimen ZK 412. The most noticeable difference is the length of the cartridge case, which is 2 mm longer than its German counterpart.
8 mm Rapid had a smaller neck diameter (by 0.1 mm), a higher neck (by about 1 mm) and a different length L1 see photo.
Further more detailed information was probably not preserved.
