Effective range:
- 1500 m (air targets)
- 1000 m (land targets)

The M75 consists of a single, license-built, Hispano-Suiza HS-804 (improvement of the original HS-404) 20-mm anti-aircraft gun. The M75 is towed by a two-wheel bogie, which is detached in the firing position. When firing, the gun is supported by a tripod that has hinged, adjustable legs.

M75 - a Yugoslavian towed single-barrel 20 mm anti-aircraft gun. Designed against air targets at ranges up to 1500 m. It is also effective when used against ground targets, especially live forces, unarmored and lightly armored targets (vehicles, OT, BVP), built-up troop positions.

In the marching position, the vehicle is carried on a two-axle chassis behind a truck (other tractor), in the combat position it is lowered on a laffette, which allows an unrestricted bearing in the range of -8° to +83°.

In the combat position, it can also be placed on the vehicle body.
The vehicle uses 3 types of ammunition - anti-personnel, armour-piercing, fragmentation ammunition.

It was successfully used during the civil war in the former Yugoslavia and Kosovo.
It is currently in the arsenal of the successor states of Yugoslavia.

The Yugoslav M75 anti-aircraft gun has its roots in the early 1940s, when the Swiss company Hispano-Suiza (Suisse) SA began an in-depth modernization of the HS.404 20 mm automatic gun. The new cannon, with the HS.804 index, was designed for use on ground and air platforms. During its development, it was planned to eliminate the shortcomings of the basic model and improve its main characteristics. The new gun was put into series production as early as 1943-44. In 1951, Yugoslavia obtained a licence for the independent production of the HS.804 anti-aircraft gun and the HSS.630 towed gun. The organisation of production at the Crvena Zastava plant in Kragujevac took several years, and the equipment did not enter service with the Yugoslav People's Army until 1955. The licensed version of the product was given the index 20/1 mm M55.
Already in the mid-fifties it was clear that the device with one 20 mm cannon could not fight against modern aviation. In this context, the development of a new modification of the M55 with three cannons began. For a number of reasons, work on this product was only completed in the early 1970s. The resulting M55A2 installation was further upgraded with various system equipment, including a custom engine for movement.
In the mid-1970s, a modest upgrade of the existing single-barrel systems was undertaken. The resulting model again marked the year of its creation - the M75, which replaced earlier models in the armament.
During the break-up of Yugoslavia, the M55/M75 anti-aircraft guns, like other weapons of the Yugoslav Army (JNA), were transferred to the newly established states. All of these weapons were actively used at the outbreak of the civil war. Some of them were destroyed in the fighting, destroyed after the war ended, or handed over to museums, but some equipment survived and remained in the army's armament.
The M75 is a lightweight towed anti-aircraft gun. Its design as a whole corresponds to the original Swiss model, but it had minor differences aimed at improving performance or optimizing production. Licensed 20 mm HS.804 gun with a rifled barrel 70 calibers long and automatic gas withdrawal based on the barrel. The technical rate of fire was 800 rounds/min. The initial velocity of the projectile, depending on its type, is up to 800-850 m/s. The effective range against an aerial target was 1 - 1.5 km.
The weapon used uniform 20x110 mm cartridges with high-explosive fragmentation, high-explosive incendiary, anti-armour, etc. cartridges. Anti-armour ammunition at the effective range made it possible to hit light armoured vehicles. Ammunition was supplied from drum or box magazines of varying capacity. The most commonly used were the 60-round drum boxes, which had the optimum combination of convenience and capacity. The most commonly used were the 60-round drum cartridges, which had the optimum combination of comfort and capacity.
The cartridge for the M75 has a simplified design and is characterized by its simplicity. The lower receiver has three sliding legs and is also equipped with removable wheels. The design allowed for full deployment with the installation of frames on the ground as well as firing from the wheels. The upper lafetta holds the gun, a support for the sight and the gunner's seat. The sighting was controlled by two handles. The design of the crossbow allows a circular sighting of 360°, the aiming range is from -8° to +83°.
