That weight ... 95kg ...? I used this RX for amateur radio operation in the 80's and I remember that I moved it with the help of XYL (wife) and built it on the table without any problems ... is that also meant with the source? Otherwise in those times ... super machine ... 1KHz wide approx. 5mm on the projected scale ... it is said that Gagarin also had it on his first flight ... and a classic Russian design. KROTT II, R250.. the front panel of a bulletproof submachine gun with a thickness of about 6 mm, and then, for example, modifications made in Hungary were lightened.

The receiver actually has a stated weight of 95 kg, without the source, the source is 15 kg. In fact, the KROT was slightly better, it had e.g. a sensitivity for A1 of 0.25 microV, which corresponds to the current high-end KV devices. Gagarin didn't have it on his first flight, it wouldn't fit in Vostok, but it was used to receive signals from him at the ground center. It was also used on ships under the codename RUSALKA. Blocks up to 31 MHz were also made, these were built in instead of one of the original ranges. In all, it was produced in three versions, the R250, R250M and R250M2, even the Bulgarians produced a digital scale for it, in some cases mounted in the bottom, instead of a projection scale.

The R250 was indeed a perfect receiver, but only the Tame was better than the R250, if we do not consider cabinet receivers. He used the code designation KIT, KIT M, KIT M2, in the navy he was assigned the number R670 Rusalka.

I'm connecting a longwave converter for ship and submarine service that was used with the R250.
Range 1.5 to 12 kHz
