Marconi Marksman tower set
Brief history
Marconi began development of the Marksman anti-aircraft turret kit in the early 1980s. The turret was designed with the intention of easy mounting on medium tank chassis. Trials were conducted in Britain and other countries. In 1990 The Marksman anti-aircraft turret system was introduced into the Finnish Army's arsenal, where it gradually replaced the outdated Soviet-made ZSU-57-2 self-propelled guns. The Marksman turret was reportedly tested by the South African Army in the early 1990s.
