Coarse howitzer vz.25 caliber 15 cm
Škoda system weapon with horizontal wedge breech, construction Ing. Wilhelm Kraft, manufactured between 1925 and 1935 by a joint-stock company, formerly Škoda's plants in Pilsen, extensive modification of a coarse howitzer model 14/16 caliber 15 cm. Production produced a total of about 350 pieces for domestic use, dozens more pieces were made for export to the Empire of Iran, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Kingdom of Romania and the Republic of Turkey. The weapon consisted of two transport units, the main with a breech and a cradle with a carriage. The steel barrel consisted of the casing, tube and butt of the barrel with a breech, the cradle was supplemented by a hydraulic brake, air gate and spring balancer, which allowed automatic regulation of variable recoil of the barrel. The trunk carriage consisted of two parts with a shield, wooden wheels and a separate aiming mechanism. During transport, the barrel was towed to a special main carriage and the howitzer was transported in two units, each towed by a six-carriage. An impact grenade vz was used for firing. 25 caliber 15 cm and timing grenade vz. 25 caliber 15 cm. In the fall of 1938, a total of 340 howitzers were available, which were in the arsenal of 12 regiments of corps artillery.
Tactical and technical data transport weight - 5,990 kg, combat weight - 3,740 kg, caliber - 149.1 mm, number of grooves - 42, barrel length - 2.70 m (18 calibers), elevation - -5 ° to + 70 °, measurement - ± 3.5 °, projectile weight - 42 kg, muzzle velocity - 450 m/s, maximum range - 11,800 m, cadence - 3 rounds per minute, service - 10 people.
