Anti-aircraft gun vz.37 8 cm calibre
Skoda system gun with wedge breech of Ing. Josef Hruška, produced by Akciová společnost, formerly Škoda Plzen (factory designation S).
The gun consisted of a barrel, a lafette and a chassis. The autofretted barrel of shell construction was equipped with a semi-automatic vertical wedge breech, hydraulic brake and air recoil spring, it had a variable slip. It was mounted with the sights on a crossguard with pivoting arms.
The gun was transported on a four-wheel chassis and towed by a Skoda Z tractor.
The weapon was equipped with a system of electrical transmission of elements for indirect firing and a new central sight of the vz. 37.
The weapon was produced from the summer of 1937 and by the autumn of 1938 a total of 68 units were available, but without central sights.
