Martin B-57E Canberra
Aircraft for towing air targets used in the training of fighters in shooting at air targets using machine guns or cannons. The B-57E was based on the version B-57B. The first serial specimen got into the air in May 1956. With the mass introduction of PLŘS in the second half of the sixties, the B-57E became obsolete and were gradually removed from service.

Due to the relatively high losses of aircraft B-57B in Vietnam (which was caused mainly by the bombing of the South Vietnamese air base Bien Hoa Vietcongem) the decision was made to modify twelve B-57E to the bombing version B. Seven of these modified machines eventually actually made it to Southeast Asia, where combat missions flew.

In addition, since 1963, 6 aircraft have been modified to the RB-57E reconnaissance version under the secret program of Patricia Lynn. These aircraft also participated in the fighting in Vietnam.
