CZK/SOV - R-3D (pojízdné velitelsko-štábní pracoviště)

The picture shows a little-known version on the chassis of the GAZ-66 off-road vehicle.The full name is the mobile radio command station set R-3D.It was to be used by senior artillery commanders or commanders of heavy artillery brigades (also the artillery detachment from Žamberk with PIONs).
In short, it can connect everyone with everyone in the artillery bundle and in the all-army bundle.
The crew consisted of :station commander, senior radio operator, radio operator and driver - electric machine operator.


The R-3D command post was equipped with :
- radio station R-107
- radio station R-111
- radio station R-130
- JRV-1 unified radio ringer (it is a supplement to R-107 and R-111)
- switching panel
- crew intercom (!)
- power supply 26V / 20A
- inverter 26V / 12V (same as in BRDM2-rch )
-1k kVA EC power plant
and other elements of the switchboard, protection, inputs, etc.


R-3D could work even while driving with 4m antenna for R-130, R-111, R-130.
An 11m high telescope with a 3.4m rod antenna was erected at the site for the R-111 , which is located on the roof while moving.
