The regiment vznikol 01.11.1938 zo 70th (3rd West Lancashire) Anti-Aircraft Brigade, Royal Artillery in the nasledujúcom zložení:
211th (13th West Lancashire) Battery - Aigburth, Liverpool
212th (27th West Lancashire) Battery - Aigburth, Liverpool
216th (14th West Lancashire) Battery - Aigburth, Liverpool
225th (12th West Lancashire) Light Anti-Aircraft Battery - Liverpool
267th (Wirral) Battery - Birkenhead (novovytvorená batéria)

01.04.1939 sa 267th (Wirral) Battery prepodriadila to accepted by the 93rd Anti-Aircraft Regiment
23.06.1939 sa 225th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery prepodriadila to 25th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment
