Jednotka začínala na talianskom fronte hliadkovou službou pri Gardskom jazere, kde bola súčasťou talianskej 31. pešej divízie. Neskôr bola presunutá na Piavu, kde bola zaradená do 83. pešej dívizie. 3. novembra 1918 sa tu pluk dostal do kontaktu s jedným c. a k. práporom, čo bolo jeho jediné bojové nasadenie. Začiatkom apríla 1919 sa vrátil do USA.
